Actors Room Byron Bay is thrilled to announce this exclusive extended casting masterclass with Nikki Barrett Casting Director Natalie Wall.
This is a special opportunity to work with Natalie in a full day intensive casting masterclass here in Byron Bay, show her your skills and learn from one of the most approachable and experienced Casting Directors in the business.
Natalie Wall is a respected Casting Director for Film and Television, she works both independently and in regular collaboration with Barrett Casting. Her recent credits include the feature films ‘Place to Be’ ‘Whale Shark Jack’, ‘One More Shot,’ ‘Inside’, ‘Of an Age’, ‘The Sapphires’, and TV Series ‘Black Snow’, ‘The PM’s Daughter’, and ‘Bay of Fires’.
Natalie has been a Casting Associate on more than 40 Australian and international productions including ‘Elvis’, ‘Mad Max;Fury Road’, ‘Carmen’, ‘The Invisible Man’, ‘Peter Rabbit’, ‘Aquaman’, ‘Breath’, ‘The Great Gatsby’, ‘The Babadook’ and the series ‘Pieces of Her’, ‘Jack Irish’ and ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’.
Recently Natalie was recognised as a future industry leader in IF Magazine’s 2024 Rising Talent Issue and was a nominee for Best Casting in a TV Drama at the 2023 CGA Awards.
In this Masterclass, Natalie will work with actors to further their understanding of what Casting Directors are looking for in the audition room.
Natalie’s approach to casting is creative, empathetic, and curious, with a particular focus on character analysis and finding truth in performance. She brings a fresh, considered perspective to her work and enjoys seeking out new, exciting people.
This masterclass will be run similar to a real casting, only Natalie will be there to give you an inside view of how it works. She will guide, nurture and give you feedback. Before the start of class you will be given a scene to prepare.
