Byron Bay acting coach Kate Jaggard travelled to Sydney last weekend for a masterclass with her Hollywood mentor Ivana Chubbuck, who has trained stars including Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt and Charlize Theron.

Chubbuck’s return to Australia, almost two years in the making, was spearheaded by actor and certified Chubbuck Technique teacher Kate Jaggard, founder and director of Actors Room Byron Bay, in partnership with Acting Mastery Sydney.

The event – her first trip to Australia in more than a decade – was held under the newly formed Acting Mastery Academy via an invitation from founder Kate Jaggard, who trained directly with Chubbuck in Los Angeles. Jaggard has since gone on to become one of only a handful of Australian acting coaches officially certified to teach the 'Chubbuck Technique'.

Its first major international event, presented in collaboration with Actors Room, Byron Bay, will see legendary Hollywood acting coach Ivana Chubbuck return to Australia for the first time in a decade to present an exclusive four-day masterclass in Sydney from 5–8 August 2026.
